Escape the Dungeon
A downloadable game for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux
A short five level game created in about 6 hours. It will always be free, but there will be updates from time to time to further improve on the free experience. If it sucks when you get it, check back in a couple of days and see what's new!
--UPDATE VERSION ALPHA 1.1 (The first Graphical Update)--
In this update, I have improved some of the sprites and made animations. I have also removed the final level because I am currently changing the use of a bomb so that it is actually helpful.
The sprites that are changed are:
-The wall sprites
-The stair sprites
The sprites that now have animations are:
Stay tuned for next week's update (New Level and Bomb use)
--UPDATE VERSION ALPHA 1.2(The First Level update and the Bomb update)--
In this update, I have finished updating the use of the bomb, which now destroys all destroyable blocks in the room. I have also added one more level to show you how this works.
I would have added more levels but Blast to the Future is currently working on the music and sound bytes for this game, which is also next week's update.
So stay tuned for next week's update (Sound)
--UPDATE VERSION ALPHA 1.3 (Sound Update Number 1)--
I have changed the title screen to look a bit more professional and appealing, as well as fixing the aspect ratio to be full screen. I also finally added the all new sound (something that the game probably should have had in the first place.
Now, the sound I've added are the first narrations for the already existing levels. I've noticed that now the game takes a lot longer to load because of the amount of data loading, though that could be my crappy computer.
I know that there's no songs, but I couldn't add them, as the crew went our separate ways before they were finished. Hopefully I will have music in the future.
PLEASE DO NOT DONATE, I WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO HAVE A COMPLETELY FREE EXPERIENCE FOR THIS GAME. ALL I WANT IS FOR PEOPLE TO PLAY IT :D
UPDATE (Maybe Final) My old laptop that I was coding this on died (BSOD due to the hard drive crashing) and I lost all of the source code for escape the dungeon. Thank you to anyone who has supported this little game in the past.
If I were to continue this, then I would start from scratch and make a game that was actually intended for a real audience.
Right now I'm working on my next game (more details when I feel like I have enough to show) so if I update this then it will take a while. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened though ;D *wink wink*
